ELLENA THE FATED was someone to watch out for, even before becoming tarnished. A warrior born, the ERDTREE saw her for being someone of honor and prestige, blessing her with the guidance of grace , but all that glitters is not gold. Rumors of a magical sword possessed by royals quickly got around, prompting the young, battle-hungry adolescent to seek such power. In doing so, many innocents perished in her quest for absolute power. Retrieving the sword turned out to be more trouble than it was worth, leading to a lengthy prison sentence.The sword in question was never recovered, leading those to believe that the warrior had gone mad in a conquest for selfish power, this is when Ellena lost her grace, becoming tarnished. Only, the sword didn't just exist, no, she managed to hide it before her arrest; she was prepared to await punishment for such a thing. A few years went by, and the prison break lead her to recovering the magical blade near the Chapel of Anticipation.
